the droning guitar crashing with the brisk night air. through open windows and unlocked doors. into the night, light tries its hardest to escape, between the cracks, but there are no clouds in the sky. 3 50 am doesnt seem that late, and i know its not early enough to finally fall fast asleep.
im listening for the waves to crash into the walls. i wont tell you im not hurting, but i will no longer long for better days and dream of warmer nights.
ive been in search of comfort, it was briefly found under sunny skies and warm asphalt. but lets just say that im okay now. im still breathing. sometimes reminding myself how, shift. click. inhale. exhale. repeat.
im just starting to find some direction, south of the city. between highways and expressways. and sometimes, i would like you to take them to me. im not lonely and im not lost.
